Solo devs and hackers who build and break things
Atena is a small group of developers from Asia and South America. Bug bounty, game dev, jailbreaking, tools, whatever you're into. We build our own stuff, crack open other people's, and trade what we learn along the way.
IWho we are
Atena started as a few people who kept bumping into each other in the same corners of the internet: jailbreak forums, bug bounty write-ups, game dev jams, tiny repos with three stars. Different time zones, different languages, same bad habits.
Most of us are solo devs. No company, no team lead, just a side project and too much coffee. Some of us hunt bugs for bounties, some are making a game nobody asked for, some write tweaks and tools, some just poke at a device until it gives up its secrets. When it breaks, we write down why.
We're spread from Asia down to South America, so somebody is always awake. Post a question at 3am, someone will have an answer by breakfast, theirs or yours.
The name comes from the Greek goddess of wisdom and war. Wisdom because we like knowing how things really work. War because the stuff we like to poke at doesn't always want to be poked.
IIHow we work
No one here cares about your job title or if you went to university. A tweak for a three-year-old phone counts. So does a half-finished tool you're a bit embarrassed to show.
We share what we find, not only what we finish. Offsets, bugs, dead ends, the weird thing the firmware did at 2am. If you burned a week on it, the next person shouldn't have to.
We read each other's code and say what we think, straight but not mean. Everyone is here to get better at this, so nobody gets mocked for asking.
Work solo, ask the group when you're stuck, come back when you've got something to show. That's the whole deal.
“Read the code. Break it. Fix it. Tell someone how.” Unwritten rule #1
